Electric Mower & Garden Tractor

Did you know?

Lawn care equipment like mowers and trimmers don&#;t have to meet the same emissions standards cars do. The EPA estimates lawn and garden equipment running on fossil fuel creates 23 million tons of carbon emissions in the US each year.

I was at the Spencer fair this past week & looked at a smoker-grill that burns wood pellets made by Green Mountain. Anybody here have one & if you do what are the pro's & con's to them. The vendor gives me the usual spill how great they are but you know how that is. Thanks, Mark datyerdog?

This debate can get as heated (no pun intended) as seed corn or tractor brand.
FWIW, I'm not a fan of pellet fed smokers. I've never been around a Green Mountain but I've seen the Traeger's. The pellet smokers work good but if you're wanting to spend $ for a smoker, look at a Big Green Egg or Primo.
A Green Egg will smoke at low heat and will cook steak at 7-800 degrees. IMO, the Green Egg is a more useful and versatile cooker. They use lump charcoal which gets as hot as the surface of the sun, or if you limit the air, will smolder at low heat for 12+ hours. If you use Briquette charcoal you will be disappointed.

If you are looking for more details, kindly visit Green mountain tractor.

I bought one at a pretty good discount, it was a store demo plus they were running an anniversary sale plus other current discounts. Anyway, this dealership used to sell Trager but switched to Green Mountain. Biggest difference was a better ignition system in the GM. Maybe a couple more things as well. They sold a lot of both and said both were great products. I like it, have done lots of bigger cuts such as ribs, brisket, pork shoulder as well as steak and burgers. Better flavor but takes more time than a regular grill. proud2Bafarmer

I have a Traegor and we love it here. I saw the GM grills at the state fair yesterday and found them to be very similar to a Traegor. The sales guy said the maker was once a huge distributor for Traegor, but made some safety oriented changes (supposedly got a bad taste in his mouth after his Traegor burned the deck off his house), then came out with the GM grill. Looks like a Traegor to me. Lawsuit pending?? zoid

Have used all three mentioned here. Big green egg is my favorite if I have the time. Pellet grills don't give enough smoke flavor in my opinion. Real charcoal is the only way to smoke in my opinion with wood chunks. Had a traeger once and it didn't get hot enough for a steak. I have a gmg and an egg now. Gmg does a good steak and the egg does the bigger cuts. mndairyfarmer
