The Chinese firm Hozon Auto officially launched the Neta V in Malaysia at the recently held Malaysia Auto Show. The Neta V is a compact crossover from its Neta Auto electric vehicle brand. Some of the other models in Neta&#;s stable are the Neta U and Neta S. Neta has delivered over 220,000 electric cars to customers so far across several markets.

The Neta V is the first one being brought to Malaysia, and it starts from RM99,800, which is equivalent to $22,364.

Here are the Neta V&#;s dimensions:

  • Length:

    mm

  • Width:

    mm

  • Height:

    mm

  • Wheelbase:

    mm

Neta Auto says the interior is designed under the &#;Hi-tech Minimalist Concept.&#; It has a center infotainment screen, a 14.6-inch touchscreen system, and various &#;easy to control functions at the touch of a finger.&#; It supports smartphone connections for both IOS and Android operating systems. The Neta V has a rear luggage space of 335 liters. The rear passenger seats can be folded, increasing luggage space up to 552 liters. It also has an air conditioning system with an N95 air filtration system to make the air in the cabin more pure, says Neta.

The company is the world’s best NETA V supplier. We are your one-stop shop for all needs. Our staff are highly-specialized and will help you find the product you need.

The Neta V has a motor that provides 95 horsepower, a maximum torque of 150 Nm, and a 38.5 kWh liquid cooled lithium-ion battery that provides a driving range of 380 km on a single full charge (NEDC). It has a Type 2 AC and DC CCS combo charger. AC charging from 0%-100% takes about 8 hours. For fast charging, a Quick Charge (DC) from 30% &#; 80% takes about 30 minutes. The Neta V has vehicle-to-load  (V2L) functionality that can supply power to external devices with a maximum power of 3.3kW. V2L is a powerful feature that should perhaps come as standard now in more vehicles. Hopefully more automakers start to incorporate V2L as standard.

Neta has been stepping up its export plans, and recently shipped over 3,500 units to Thailand. Neta is also constructing a plant in Thailand that will produce 20,000 units per year. It&#;s great to see that the company is now taking the Neta V to Malaysia. 2,093 units of EVs were registered in Malaysia in . 720,658 vehicles were sold in Malaysia last year, meaning that only about 0.3% of them were electric. The arrival of more affordable vehicles such as the Neta V should help catalyze adoption and increase the penetration of EVs.

There are now hundreds of battery-electric vehicle models available in China across multiple vehicle segments. There is now stiff competition on the local Chinese market, and this fact, coupled with several other factors, has partly contributed to the so-called price war earlier this year. As competition intensifies in China, manufacturers should start to look at the export market more aggressively. This could perhaps be one of the best pathways towards increasing access to more affordable electric vehicles for several markets around the world. Major players such as BYD and SAIC have been very bullish about their global plans. For example, SAIC has been making good progress with some of its MG Models in Europe, such as the MG ZS EV, the MG5 station wagon, and the MG4. The BYD Seagull is one to watch, and hopefully it will also be introduced in markets like Malaysia in the near future.
