Pacifier to 3-day-old?? - Breastfeeding | Forums
At nighttime, my daughter will nurse and fall asleep. I'll put her down for the night and then she'll wake up wanting to nurse again. This happens over and over all night long. Dad even tried to put her down, but didn't work either. I haven't even gotten my milk yet, so is she even getting anything when she's nursing so much? I think she's soothing herself with my nipple and not actually eating. She always has her fingers in her mouth too - even in the womb! Should we give her a pacifier? Or is it too early? We don't have a problem giving her a pacifier, but I don't want to do it too early and mess up breastfeeding- which has been going ok until now. Any tips you can give to put a baby down for the night is much appreciated!
