New build - serious damp and mold problem
I moved to Xindian in april, my building is brand spanking new built just last year, its one of the new swanky buildings on jhongxing road, our flat is on the 17th floor, its a 4 bedroom apartment, very large and nice with a jacuzzi and a wicked B1 flat car space, its a brilliant location and we like it alot
When we first moved in i noticed it was a bit damp, i complained to my landlord (renting) and he sent someone to seal the windows properly as they were leaking air in and i guessed that is what was causing the problem.
Within about 2 weeks the house was full of our furniture and the weather got alot warmer, the problem disspeared and we forgot about it then the temperature dropped this month!.
WE have a SERIOUS mold problem in almost every single room, our bedrooms are always damp and we cant defeat it with aircon, dehumidifiers or opening windows.
Basically its a lost cause and i blame it on the builders for doing a shit job with the insulation.
Our landlord doesnt want to do anything about it, in fact he asked US to complain to the builders, i told him its his problem as its his property and i am a tenant.
He reminded us that he has 2 months deposit if we choose to leave :fume:

The main problem is that i have 2 children, 3 years and 1 year old, their bedroom has just shown evidence of mold everywhere almost overnight, walls, bed and draws
Mold can cause breathing problems in fact im having some sort of allergys already and i fear for my childrens health.
WTF do i do, back in the uk i can just tell the landlord to stick it and move out but here i have no rights and everybody thinks im just complaining over nothing.
Combine this with my racist noisy neighbour upstairs i think i just want to bail and find somewhere else that doesnt have damp problems.
Any advice on how to either:
a) get my deposit back and move out
b) force the builders/landlord to fix it if it can be fixed.
